Our Services

  • LASIK and PRK Surgery

LASIK and PRK are advanced forms of laser vision correction designed to reduce or eliminate dependence on glasses and contact lenses. These procedures reshape the cornea to improve how light is focused on the retina, improving visual clarity. At Freedom, we use a new technology, available at only a handful of locations in the DFW metroplex, to scan your eye over a hundred thousand times to create a model of your individual eye during the evaluation.  A treatment will then be calculated to give an ideal treatment for your specific eye.  This process is very different from the traditional method where scans were done, and the same model eye was used to determine the treatment for every patient.

    Who it’s for:
Patients with nearsightedness, farsightedness, or astigmatism who are interested in long-term vision correction.

    Our approach:
We perform detailed LASIK consultations and candidacy evaluations in our office. When appropriate, LASIK or PRK surgery is performed at Clearview Surgery Center, with all pre- and post-operative care coordinated and managed by our physicians.

  • Cataract Surgery

Cataracts occur when the eye’s natural lens becomes cloudy, leading to blurred vision, glare, and difficulty with daily activities. Cataract surgery removes the clouded lens and replaces it with a clear artificial lens to restore vision. There are many different types of artificial lenses that can be placed in the eye after a cataract is removed. Your surgeon will talk through these options with you during your visit, since the best choice depends on your individual needs and isn’t something that can be easily compared from one person to another.

    Who it’s for:
Patients experiencing cloudy vision, glare, poor night vision, or vision loss related to cataracts.

    Our approach:
We provide comprehensive cataract evaluations and surgical planning in our office. Cataract surgery is performed at Clearview Surgery Center, with ongoing care and follow-up managed by our team.

  • YAG Laser Procedures

YAG laser procedures are commonly used to restore vision after cataract surgery when scar tissue or film develops behind the implanted lens. This is very normal, and most patients who have cataract surgery will develop this at some point in their lifetime. The good news is that your vision can be restored to how it was just after cataract surgery with a safe, painless, and very quick laser treatment.

    Our approach:
YAG laser treatment is performed as an out-patient surgical procedure and coordinated by our ophthalmology team to improve visual clarity with minimal downtime.

  • Comprehensive Eye Exams

Comprehensive eye exams assess vision, eye pressure, and overall eye health while screening for conditions such as glaucoma, cataracts, and retinal disease. Routine exams help detect eye conditions early and monitor changes over time.

    Who it’s for:
    - Routine eye care
    - Monitoring eye health
    - Patients experiencing vision changes

  • Glaucoma Diagnosis and Management

Glaucoma is a progressive eye disease that can damage the optic nerve and lead to vision loss if untreated. Early diagnosis and consistent management are critical to preserving vision.

    Our approach:
We provide glaucoma evaluations, advanced diagnostic testing, and long-term management plans, coordinating additional treatment when needed.

  • Diabetic Retinopathy Evaluations

Diabetic retinopathy is a diabetes-related eye condition that can affect vision if not detected early. Regular eye evaluations are essential for patients with diabetes.

    Our approach:
We perform detailed retinal evaluations to monitor eye health and coordinate care as needed to help prevent vision loss.

  • Dry Eye Management

Dry eye disease occurs when the eyes do not produce enough quality tears, leading to discomfort, irritation, and fluctuating vision.

    Our approach:
We identify the underlying causes of dry eye and develop customized treatment plans to improve comfort and eye health.
